About Us
The Chapel Mission Statement
The Chapel Mission Statement: "To Know Christ and Make Him Known” is the starting premise for what we believe at the Chapel of Sky Valley. As a fellowship of Christian Believers, The Chapel of Sky Valley, an Interdenominational church, offers a focal point for worship, fellowship and pastoral services.
The Chapel of Sky Valley is unique, as it is a community church that is open to all. Chapel of Sky Valley is truly a Church for all people demonstrated by the active program of benevolence that begins with the needs in Rabun County and with a ministry of compassion that reaches outside its own circle of membership.
Many of the Sky Valley congregation are part-time residents that live in the Sky Valley community for about half of the year. The other half of the congregation is full time residents of Sky Valley and the surrounding area. Since the Chapel of Sky Valley is located in such a scenic location in the mountains of Northeast Georgia, The Chapel is blessed with Sunday visitors as well as destination weddings.
The Chapel of Sky Valley has tailored its worship service to be simple, easy to follow, and “user friendly.”
The sacrament of Holy Communion is offered on the first and third Sunday each month.
The Chapel beliefs are those things that are in common to virtually all Christians. Many churches us statements of faith often called “creeds.” While some church bodies don’t necessarily follow a creed, most church bodies have a statement of faith. In the early days of the Christian Church, the first leaders of the church developed a very simple statement of faith. It has survived the many centuries, and it is known as the Apostles Creed. At the Chapel of Sky Valley, we hold very much to the words contained in that creed.
